Megill Homes was contracted to take this original stone home located adjacent to the Historic Merion Golf Club and make it into a home that the owners always dreamed of. The home was taken down all the way to the studs before the complete rebuild could be started. Additional foundations were added which allowed us create a large Family Room, Master Bedroom Suite, and a three car garage. The remainder of the home was re worked to create a beautiful 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home that maintained its classic style put also has all of the modern amenities of a new home. The first floor has an open flowing floor plan with a large mudroom, Study, Living Room, Dining Room and Powder room. The modern Kitchen flows into the Breakfast Room and Family Room giving the entire area a wide open, bright feel. Original features of the home are still present with exposed stone walls in the Family Room and Study as well and a second floor porch accessed the Master Bedroom. The original stone was repaired and repointed while Hardi Plank siding and a new cedar roof were incorporated to complete the classic look the owners always wanted.
